Double Duty: Use your wedding Photograph for your Christmas Photo Card

A great way to make use of your favorite wedding photograph is with your annual holiday greeting card. It’s a sensible way to capture the thrill of your wedding day and share those experiences again with your family and friends. It is difficult to imagine a more appropriate photograph to celebrate your first year as a couple.

Newly married couples have found that their favorite wedding photograph performs double-duty when printed digitally on a holiday greeting card or attached to a photo card with an eye-catching border to showcase your photo.

If your wedding photo has been taken with a professional photographer, you will probably need to get permission from your photographer to reproduce the image digitally on a photo card. Alternatively, have your photos commercially developed and mount them on holiday photo greeting cards using adhesive tape that’s usually already placed on the photo card.

While it’s definitely more convenient to print your holiday card digitally, the print resolution of commercially produced photos is normally far superior. If you plan to use a photomount holiday cards, 4”x 6” photographs usually work best. Most photo cards are made to accept pictures in both a vertical or landscape orientation.
